    SUMMARY:
    In concert with Service Center Manager, ensure claim policies, procedures, and standards are implemented and maintained to ensure high quality, cost-effective case management. This role will lead and manage a team of Unit Manager's within the Auto Liability Claim Department in the Rancho Cordova, CA Office. Assist Service Center Manager in providing direction to the Service Center.

    PRIMARY DUTIES:
    Management of local QM (self review) process, including execution of the strategy, distribution of reports; analysis of results; and implementation of improvement plans. Coordinate marketing and Agency relations. Support Marketing by participating in sales and account management process. Represent the Company, ensuring favorable business relations and the acquisition and retention of profitable business. Manage ULAE and LAE (Loss Adjustment Expense). Develop and implement process improvement strategies that impact pay out, investigations, subrogation, structured settlement, and litigation management. Provide direction and technical guidance to the Service Center Staff. Develop and implement strategies and plans to address Unit Manager professional development. Make certain training needs are identified and addressed on an ongoing basis. Develop plans to ensure leadership and technical continuity for the organization.

    EDUCATION/COURSE OF STUDY: College degree or equivalent work experience.

    WORK EXPERIENCE:
    Extensive Claim management experience. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of marketing, underwriting and account management processes. Current on jurisdictional laws and regulations. CERTIFICATES/DEGREES: Insurance license(s) as required by state regulation.

    PRIMARY DUTIES:
    Perform telephonic case management of Workers Compensation claims that are assigned. Contact injured worker, employer and medical providers in a timely manner to gather relevant info to assist in the investigation and evaluation of the claim. Manage to conclusion all lost time claims with 6 months duration or less. . Manage files with an emphasis on file quality (including timely contact and proper documentation), maximizing internal resources, and achieving a positive end result by returning injured party to work. Aggressively pursue claim resolution opportunities. Build strong partnership with our internal nurse resources (Medical Case Manager) in order to integrate the delivery of medical services to the injured worker. Identify claim issues as they arise, and take appropriate steps to resolve them or refer them to the Unit Manager for reassignment. Establish appropriate reserves to reflect claim exposure.     SUMMARY:
    Investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate and settle assigned claims in accordance with Best Practices. Provide quality claim handling and superior customer service on assigned claims, while engaging in indemnity & expense management. Promptly manage claims by completing essential functions including contacts, investigation, damages development, evaluation, reserving, litigation management, and disposition.

    PRIMARY DUTIES:
    Timely coverage analysis and communication with insured based on application of policy information to facts or allegations of each case. Consult with Unit Manager on use of Claim Coverage Counsel. Investigate each claim through prompt contact with appropriate parties such as policyholders, accounts, claimants, law enforcement agencies, witnesses, agents, medical providers and technical experts to determine the extent of liability, damages, and contribution potential. Take necessary statements. Identify resources for specific activities required to properly investigate claims such as outside claim representatives, nurse consultants, and fire or fraud investigators and to other experts. Request through Unit Manager and coordinate the results of their efforts and findings. Verify the nature and extent of injury or property damage by obtaining and reviewing appropriate records and damages documentation. Keeps effective diary management system to ensure that all claims are handled timely.
