• Senior Staff Accountant
  TEMPORARY OPPORTUNITY WITH BENEFITS FROM WEEK 1!!!! This position is responsible for Payroll and Accounts Payable functions. In addition, this position will work with the plant controller to analyze plant expenses, develop and implement financial controls, assist with month-end close activities, assist with special projects, and serve as the backup for the controller and cost accountant. Key Accountabilities: • Process/reconcile hourly payroll weekly• Process vendor invoices for payment timely• Key contact for payroll and accounts payable issues• Analyze/report plant expenses to plant management for decision making• Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries• Reconcile balance sheet account reconciliations• Assist in developing and implementing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls• Coordinate/perform plant self audit of SOX controls• Assist with taking of physical inventory• Serve as, on a short term basis, administrative backup for the controller and/or cost accountant with corporate support• Assist with special projects as needed Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting• 5-7 years experience (plant experience is preferred)• SAP experience is desired• Exceptional computer skills required (Microsoft Excel & Word)• Solid work ethic with a high level of energy ( “roll-up-sleeves” approach)• Excellent communication skillsAll applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.
