Responsibilities: for this position include writing, modifying, testing and installing computer programs for small to medium-sized projects with a focus on reporting. This includes the development and management of processes for preparing and delivering data to various internal and external customers, including Insurance Departments, statistical reporting agencies, business partners and vendors. Other responsibilities include project estimation, proper use of standards and processes, and occasional oncall responsibilities.
Qualifications
A four-year degree plus a minimum of one year of application development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Previous experience should include application development, preferably in an Oracle client-server environment utilizing queries and procedures, along with a demonstrated ability to handle small to medium-sized application development projects. Experience writing reports and tuning SQL is preferred, but not required. This position will set up new losses from client phone calls and investigate facts. Job duties include, but are not limited to: verifying, analyzing and opening coverages, initiating recorded statements, sending correspondence, assigning appraisers, reviewing client history, contacting adverse insurance companies, contacting all parties involved in the loss, and following up on the claim file as needed. Additionally, this position will require customer service to our client questions and inquiries.
Qualifications
Previous customer service or related experience is required. Experience with previous insurance and/or claims in a call center environment is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and possess strong negotiation and organizational skills. Responsible for developing a team of client service associates (16-23) and assisting them to meet professional goals as their front-line supervisor. Accountable for achieving company and department goals in a changing and challenging environment of a growing insurance company. Interface with all units within Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance at the supervisor and manager level to accomplish problem resolution and ensure quality of service and client satisfaction. Resolve escalated client concerns as needed.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership role is required (previous supervisor experience in a call center preferred). Must possess the ability to work effectively as a leader and coach to promote a team environment for client service associates. Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain expectations and objectives. Strong employee relations skills are necessary to provide positive and constructive feedback and guidance. Strong ability to promote a positive attitude as a team player within a management team is critical.
The work schedule for this position is 11:30am - 8:00pm or 1:30-10pm Tuesday thru Friday and 1030-7pm on Saturday. -
