RiverSource Investments, LLC. is seeking an Annuity Regional Vice President-Outside Distribution, an external wholesaling position. Be part of the fastest growing variable annuity provider out of the top 15. With 48% growth in 2005 and 52% in 2006, RiverSource is the 8th largest variable annuity provider.
You will join a team whose primary objective is to build relationships with individual producers within the bank channels in order to drive sales of variable annuity products manufactured by RiverSource.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of investment industry experience. 5 years of direct sales experience, with 1-3 years wholesaling experience. Must have proven ability to establish rapport and credibility quickly. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and problem solving skills required. Series 6, 63, and Life/Health licenses are all required. Candidates must reside within assigned territory. Territory is subject to change. This position will set up new losses from client phone calls and investigate facts. Job duties include, but are not limited to: verifying, analyzing and opening coverages, initiating recorded statements, sending correspondence, assigning appraisers, reviewing client history, contacting adverse insurance companies, contacting all parties involved in the loss, and following up on the claim file as needed. Additionally, this position will require customer service to our client questions and inquiries.
Qualifications
Previous customer service or related experience is required. Experience with previous insurance and/or claims in a call center environment is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and possess strong negotiation and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are critical to being successful in this role. Candidate must also have a desire to contribute to a team environment and provide exceptional customer service.

Investigate, assess, negotiate and settle automobile First Party Medical claims. Review initial claim assignment, confirm coverages, deny claim when appropriate, initiate first contact with injured parties, verify and investigate facts, set and maintain claim reserves, establish follow-up on claims, document claim files, and order Independent Medical Exams (IME) / Peer Reviews when necessary. Achieve timely and fair negotiations and settlements. Adhere to state specific and compliance requirements. Refer files to subrogation or special investigation unit as needed.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required. Minimum of 12 months prior claim adjusting experience is required. Must possess proven negotiation skills and strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Must possess the ability to multitask and manage workflow in a high volume, fast paced environment. Must also have the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, work independently and also contribute to a team environment. Must be a self-starter with willingness to accept change, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. The work schedule involves daytime hours, but must be flexible to some schedule variance as dictated by claim volume and customer need.
