This is a challenging opportunity in their Corporate Headquarters Information Technology Division for a Java Technical Analyst contract to hire role
Reporting to the IT - Marketing Manager, as a Technical Analyst supporting the Marketing Team you would be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and testing of marketing and merchandising solutions. Responsibilities include:
Working within a project team setting on developing new functionality, modifications, updates, and new business development
? Interacting with internal business customers to define requirements and design technical solutions to meet their requirements
? Managing inter-system type projects coordinating the efforts of both internal and external resources.
Planning and managing work schedules and communicating project issues and assumptions.
The successful candidate will be someone who has strong follow through coupled with technical knowledge and problem solving skills. Must be detail oriented and show definitive leadership qualities.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing or related discipline required
3-4 years minimum experience developing Java applications
1 ? 2 years experience with XML and web services
Endeca development experience a STRONG plus
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written) and ability to interface effectively with all levels throughout the organization
Project Management experience is a plus
Ability to multi-task across multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, service oriented environment

This is a full time opportunity located in Melrose Park, IL. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for performing functional analysis, design, configuration, and support of SAP modules specifically PP and PI and the associated Master Data.
This position is responsible for performing functional analysis, requirements, definition, master data loads and ERP module (specifically SAP-PP/PI) configuration and testing. Serves as subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with ERP (specifically SAP-PP/PI and the associated Master Data as the #1 priority. Graphical Capacity experience and MRP knowledge, QM experience and BI experience is helpful . Business experience in production, operations, and production planning a plus.
Job Description and Responsibilities
Performs analysis of business requirements and develops solutions for the business function(s). This involves partnering with business leaders to effectively translate business and functional needs into technical requirements. May involve reengineering processes.
Defines and configures SAP/PP/PI module according to business requirements and tests configurations. Conducts prototypes, develops functional specifications, data mapping, data conversion, function mapping, setting of configuration tables, and setting of transaction/control tables.
Implements and modify SAP/PP/PI module and resolve implementation issues. May involve user documentation, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation.
Educates others in the workflow, business processes, and reporting metrics enabled by SAP. Coordinates, implements, and communicates system change requirements.
Back-up in the quality management area and help develop BI cubes to support operations and quality.
Job Requirements
Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes. Performs work that is complex and varied. Incumbent can discern key aspects of a problem and develop an integrated solution within a broad technical and business context of significant impact. May provide guidance/training on SAP projects and assist with the transfer of knowledge and technical skills.
Certification in project management preferred. Incumbent must be able to manage and operate within standard operating procedures.
B.S. Degree required, Masters Degree preferred in field.
3 - 5 years of industry experience required.

Financial management competencies. Demonstrated career progression and a strong understanding and application of technical accounting principles and policies. Demonstrated ability to manage in a complex and dynamic environment. Leadership and team building skills are vital; must have the ability to guide staff through change management initiatives.
