SUMMARY: BACC Domain Lead
Responsible for quality of business and functional requirements across all projects within portfolio. Ensure requirements for projects and enhancements align with business strategic vision.
Supports business in defining strategic vision with the analysis of:
Business Strategy
Business Capabilities
Business Processes
Business Knowledge
Organization structure
Identify & document dependencies and/or impacts between projects that may impact project scope or schedule. Recommend adjustments to roadmap or alternate solutions as required.
Provide input to portfolio manager and project manager on business and operational readiness across portfolio.
Actively participate in monthly portfolio reviews.
Competency Development
- Build BA competencies including:
- Business analytical skill set
- Business functional knowledge within Portfolio and supporting applications
- Work with Portfolio leads, architects, and app dev to streamline processing.
- Manages strategic and tactical goals for each project across portfolio
Resource Management
- For each BA identified in the portfolio plan, identify the number of BAs and the role being played by each BA. Consider differences in Agile projects. Review gaps or inefficient staffing models with Portfolio Managers. Recommend proposed solutions.
- Identify project/process issues or risks surfaced by BAs the could result in sub-optimizing the project lifecycle

Summary
Our dynamic Product Management organization is seeking talented and passionate people to drive the communication and execution of new products, product enhancements, best practices and strategies throughout the Personal Insurance business. In the role of Product Director, Communication & Execution you will:
-Participate in the development of the most complex project design and strategy planning, specifically managing the execution and implementation of new product innovations, enhancements and expansion across product lines, functions, and systems
-Work closely with internal teams such as National Design and Strategy, Product Support and State Teams and Project Management Office (PMO) to plan and develop effective communications, training, and release to market strategies
-Responsible for developing documentation and deliberate messaging to both internal and external audiences; monitoring/tracking planned deliverables and tactics within the Product organization; creating feedback mechanisms where appropriate to ensure crisp messaging to our customer facing staff related to Travelers strategies
-Support and ensure understanding and readiness for changes in Product features, strategies, process/practice change and philosophies
-Develop Product training supports and tools utilizing resources around the organization such as subject matter experts and trainers to deliver content
-Develop and manage a complex process for sequencing and planning deliverable rollout across all product lines and project portfolios
-Drive portfolio prioritization and tracking of progress across portfolios
-Effectively manage resources across diverse disciplines to meet deadlines, analyze business results and achieve objectives in support of profitable growth targets
Will represent division on Personal Insurance-wide committees
This team works closely with internal partners such as: Strategic Marketing, BC/Ops, PMO, State Product and Field Sales.
Education / Work Experience
-4-year college degree helpful. Typically 5+ years experience
-Demonstrated personal insurance underwriting, pricing, filing, coverage, systems and compliance expertise
-Strong project management competencies
-Understanding of marketplace conditions and how they impact financial models and results
-Strong understanding of personal insurance products, distribution channels, and regulatory environment
-Solid understanding of financial profit and loss
-Requires a demonstrated expertise in a product line (i.e. Auto, Property) and strong knowledge of all product management functions, distribution channel processes with demonstrated competence in project and process management disciplines
Other
-Strong knowledge of personal insurance pricing, filing, coverage, underwriting, compliance and systems; personal insurance distribution channels
-Demonstrated ability to analyze data and interpret technical material, such as competitive positions, frequency/severity trends, quantification of production costs and impacts of marketing and underwriting programs
-Teamwork-effective working relationships
-Project Mgmt-develop and communicate realistic project plans; coordinate resources and tasks with other personal insurance depts
-Leadership-take ownership/accountability for projects or roles, providing guidance and influence to achieve results

SUMMARY:
This position could be located in the Braintree, MA or the Hartford, CT office depending on the candidate selected.
Under the direction of the Regional President, responsible for the implementation of agency development strategies in the assigned Profit Center with the primary objective being to increase the production of profitable business, expand the number of product lines placed by key agents and identify and develop new production sources.
The Regional President will supervise the day-to-day activities of the Regional Director, ensuring alignment with regional strategy.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Distribution Strategy:
* Execute Corporate distribution strategy
* Coordinates with business units in the development of regional distribution strategy
* Support business unit distribution strategies
Relationship Management:
* Coordinates and supports the regional agency Relationship Manager role and process
* Serves as advocate, consultant and trusted advisor for agents and SPT staff
* Coordinates relationship events
* Recognizes, through a variety of methods, key contributors and performances
* Implements and monitors the Relationship Managers and their role in the region
Marketing:
* Coordinate the implementation of a unified marketing strategy
* Visit agents to present products and appetites
* Assists in the identification of methods to capitalize on competitive advantage and high potential agencies
* Promotes and encourages the sharing of success stories
* Coordinates and supports an effective cross-selling process
* Coordinates enterprise-wide marketing events
Communication:
* Coordinates regional newsletters, marketing materials
* Promotes the communication of the overall distribution strategy internally
* Coordinates and assists in the support of an effective agency council
* Coordinates training on products and services for agents and internal staff to promote cross-sell opportunities
* Serve as a focal point for collecting and disseminating competitive intelligence
