Job Purpose:
To assist in the management of the company's financial system with particular responsibility for the management of debtors.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Setting up job accounts on Exchequer software including the inputting of budget details
2.Preparation of sales invoices for work undertaken and allocating to correct job and budget codes
3.Liaising with Project Managers on the preparation of valuations for work undertaken each month and issuing to customer
4.Monitoring job costs on an on-going basis and highlighting to Project Managers at an early stage any areas of concern
5.Dealing with all queries from Project Managers on project costs
6.Preparation of receipts for monies received and making lodgements
7.Allocation of payments to correct job codes
8.Preparation of job cost reports on a monthly basis to show budgeted, committed and actual costs
9.Dealing with all aspects of sub contractor payments including CIS requirements
10.Carrying out bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and posting journals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
11.Provision of general administrative support within the accounts function including assisting with the purchase ledger
12.Any other duties considered to be commensurate with the post
Criteria
Qualifications
Essential
Good standard of education including GCSE at grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Desirable
IATI qualified or part qualified
European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent
Previous Experience
Essential
Experience of finance administration in the construction industry, dealing with valuations, managing sub contractor payments and operation of CIS
A sound understanding of modern accounting procedures and techniques
Experience in using computerised accounting systems
Experience in using Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
Skills and Abilities
Essential
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
The ability to prioritise own workload and manage time in order to meet agreed time allocations or deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to work accurately and methodically with numbers
Ability to work effectively as a team member
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
Ability to work on own initiative and without close supervision

Ability to communicate financial information to people from non-financial backgrounds in a clear and understandable manner

- Book keeper
immediate vacancy for a Book keeper for a medium service provider Company based in North Dublin.
Duties to include General ledger,reporting at month end, accounts payable and any other ad hoc duties as they arise.
3-4 years minimum experience and a can do attitude is a vital requirement for this role.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the production of monthly sales and profitability reports for the business. You will perform a detailed review of volumes, yields and efficiency variances, compare actual results with budget and prior year and carry out investigations into material variances.
The role will involve completion of the monthly P&L A/C, reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts and accurate stock valuations. You will also assist in the preparation of the quarterly review management packs, the annual budget and the year end statutory accounts.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with solid management accounting experience. You should have a high level of attention to detail, proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel with good organisation and interpersonal skills. AS400 operating experience is desirable.

Full time permanent Credit Controller required for large Manufacturing company based in the Antrim area. Hours of work Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm. Salary ??15,000 + ??1500 bonus.
